Insects on the Farm - Sunday, April 10, 2011
Two years ago we had the wildly popular and thoroughly skin crawling Insect Release Day where our CSA members and their children released over 200,000 Lady Bugs onto our property. This year, we’ll embellish the program a bit with a bug hunt led by Farmer Paul. Learn all about the myriad insects that live throughout our biodiverse farm and fields. We’ll even dig in the soil to discover the legions of soil organisms that provide the nutrients for our healthy food. We’ll end the informative and fun children’s Farm Tour with another grin-inducing, HANDS-ON insect release! We’ll be sure to have an insect-a-licious snack break partway through the event!
